When you submit identity verification for independent-seller pickups or swaps, we collect your legal name, date of birth, document type (driver license, state ID, or foreign legal citizen document), document number, issuing state, and images of the front and back of your document. This information is used solely to verify your identity and prevent fraud. 3. Business Verification. When you apply as a business seller, we collect your legal business name, business address, business phone, business website, business registration documents, and the identity verification of your authorized representative. 4. Transaction Information. When you participate in a Price War or Bid War, we collect your buyer information (name, email, phone, shipping city), payment method details processed through Stripe, order history, and pickup appointment data. 5. Swap Session Data. When you participate in barter swaps, we collect your swap proposals, offer descriptions and photos, meetup location proposals, in-session messages, handoff confirmations, and dispute reports. 6. Usage Data. We collect information about how you interact with the Platform, including pages viewed, sessions joined, bids placed, and device/browser information. 7. Location Data. We collect approximate location data for pickup distance verification and county-based filtering. Exact seller addresses are hidden until payment and mutual agreement are confirmed. How We Use Your Information - To process transactions, manage reservations, and coordinate pickups. - To verify your identity and prevent fraud, duplicate accounts, and prohibited activity. - To facilitate swap negotiations, scheduling, and two-party handoff verification. - To send you order confirmations, price war alerts, and platform notifications. - To enforce our Terms and Conditions and maintain platform safety through content moderation. - To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities. Information Sharing We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances: 1. With Sellers. When you purchase or swap with a seller, we share your name and contact information necessary to complete the pickup or swap handoff, but only after payment and mutual agreement. 2. With Stripe. Payment information is processed by Stripe and is governed by Stripe's privacy policy. We do not store your full card numbers. 3. For Safety and Legal Compliance. We may share information with law enforcement or legal authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users, investigate fraud, or enforce our Terms. 4. Service Providers. We use third-party services (hosting, email delivery, analytics) that may have access to limited data necessary to provide their services, bound by their own privacy obligations. Data Retention - Active account data is retained while your account is in good standing. - Transaction records are retained for seven (7) years for tax and legal compliance. - Identity and business verification documents are retained for the duration of your seller relationship plus three (3) years. - Suspended or flagged account data is retained for the duration of any active investigation plus one (1) year. - Swap session data, including messages and photos, is retained for two (2) years after session completion for dispute resolution.
