Services & Gigs

Local providers quote your job, you pick the price, and the money is held in the app until you confirm the work is done.

Services run in the Panola and Rusk County Beta footprint today — Carthage, Henderson, Tatum and the towns between — and ten more East Texas counties are on the waitlist.

What providers pay

Service work is charged differently from a product sale, and the difference is worth knowing before you quote.

How the 15% service referral fee works

The 15% is a referral fee, not a listing fee, and there is no cap on it. ETX Price War is paid for bringing the customer and the provider together and holding the money safely until the work is confirmed. You pay nothing to be listed or to post a Service Special: the fee only applies once a job is awarded to you and the customer pays through the app.

Extra county on a product listingCounty listing fee — never charged to service work

Why it is higher than a product sale: a product listing sells itself from a shelf, while service work needs a customer found for you, a quote compared, an appointment kept, and a payment held and released on completion. That work is what the referral fee covers, and it is the reason a provider never pays a county listing fee.

What that looks like on a job: a $200 awarded job leaves you $170, and a $1,000 awarded job leaves you $850 — the same 15% either way, because the fee is a share of the referral and not a flat charge. If you are approved for both, the 7% capped fee still applies to your product sales and the 15% to your service work.
